Penne writes:
“Starting sadhana (personal practice) has changed my life. Practicing at home and incorporating yoga into my daily life helps me to be more connected, conscious and aware of my body & mind. Yoga benefits my life in a multitude of positive ways, which flow on to all aspects of my life, and those around me.
The physical aspects of yoga practice help me with strength and flexibility, and to relieve back pain. I practice pranayama and meditation to quiet my mind. Since becoming a mother, I’ve embraced the gentler aspects of yoga. I love yoga for it’s restorative poses and meditations that nourish me, and help me to be calm & patient with myself and others.”
Penne has lived and worked in theUK, andJapan, speaks Japanese, and has travelled extensively through South East Asia & India. Her other interests include cooking for family & friends, Music, Travel, Japanese language & culture.
Class Description:
Penne's teaching is influenced by various styles (Sivananda & gentle Vinyasa), with a focus on breath awareness, and creating a safe & nurturing environment for students. Classes include asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and relaxation. Everyone is welcome as poses can be adapted for all levels .
Penne’s philosophy is to encourage students to practice at their own pace, to bring some lightness and joy into their yoga and to share insights and techniques that students can
take off their mats and into their lives. Yoga has something for everyone at each stage of
their lives, and it is an honour and immense joy to share this holistic approach to health & wellbeing with my students.
