Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a holistic system that brings about greater health and vitality by uniting body, mind and spirit, utilising physical postures, breathing techniques and relaxation. Each teacher offers their own personal variation of Hatha Yoga.
Susanne has been trained in the Sivananda tradition of Hatha Yoga but has gained a love of the different traditions and principles from both East and West.
Susanne's class offers you the opportunity to slow down & to become aware of the state of your body, mind & heart......without any judgement.......
Beginning each class with a herbal tea from fresh ingredients that signals to your body & mind that this is your time to be nurtured & nourished......
In each class you will be encouraged to witness your body, mind & emotions so that you will become aware of the subtle changes that occur without force. Your body will slowly unfold, tension will dissolve, the overwhelmed mind will be soothed, heated or stuck emotions will be eased.....and then you will become aware that you feel quieter, more at peace within yourself.....
Susanne also includes visualizations, breathing techniques, positive affirmations, aromatherapy & inspirational verses, chanting & meditation.
The class is completed with Yoga Relaxation which Susanne creates herself & views this time of stillness as when the healing takes place for the body, mind & spirit...
Susanne also has a range of Relaxation Cd's available at the Centre

These classes will focus on stretching, strenghtening, balancing & harmonising the body, mind & emotions, as well as integrating all the body systems. A great emphasis will be placed on conscious breath work as the cohesive force that underlies all movement, to create an internal strength & buoyancy, emotional resilience & to bring energy to the body & clarity to the mind. Flowing sequences work to strenghten & build stamina in the body. Focus & meditation techniques will still the mind.
